Niantic

Niantic is a US-based augmented reality (AR) technology and mobile gaming company best known for developing Pokémon GO, one of the most successful mobile games ever launched. Spun out of Google in 2015, Niantic builds location-based, interactive AR experiences that blend the digital and physical worlds. Beyond gaming, the company has developed the Lightship platform, which enables third-party developers to build AR applications using Niantic’s real-world mapping and multiplayer tech. Niantic continues to expand its ambitions beyond entertainment, investing in spatial computing and real-world social connectivity through AR-based ecosystems and immersive digital content.
