About Epic Games

Epic Games is a leading American video game and software developer, best known as the creator of Fortnite, one of the most successful video games of all time. Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Cary, North Carolina, the company also develops Unreal Engine, a widely used game development platform employed not only in gaming, but also in film, architecture, automotive design, and virtual production. Epic’s business spans game publishing, metaverse development, and online ecosystems, including the Epic Games Store. The company is known for its bold positioning in industry debates around platform economics and developer revenue sharing, often taking a vocal stance against traditional app store policies. With significant backing from Tencent and other investors, Epic continues to invest in building cross-platform tools and immersive digital experiences that shape the future of interactive media.
