About IMC Trading

IMC Trading is a global market maker and proprietary trading firm based in Amsterdam, with major offices in Chicago, Sydney, and other financial centres. Founded in 1989, the firm uses sophisticated algorithms, low-latency infrastructure, and real-time data to provide liquidity across equities, ETFs, derivatives, and fixed income products on over 100 exchanges worldwide. IMC plays a critical role in financial markets by narrowing bid-ask spreads and ensuring efficient price discovery, competing with firms like Jane Street, Optiver, and Citadel Securities. It operates on a flat organisational structure and places strong emphasis on collaboration between traders, engineers, and quantitative researchers. Known for its rigorous recruitment and data-driven culture, IMC invests heavily in proprietary technology and trading systems, and actively participates in market structure discussions to help shape the future of global trading.
