About Monzo

Monzo is a UK-based digital bank that offers personal and business banking services through a mobile-first platform. Launched in 2015, Monzo quickly gained traction with its intuitive app, real-time spending notifications, budgeting tools, and transparent fee structures. It has expanded into lending, savings, joint accounts, and paid subscription tiers, while also serving small businesses through Monzo Business. The bank operates under a full UK banking licence and has built a strong community-driven brand, especially among younger, digitally native users. Monzo is also active in open banking and fintech partnerships, positioning itself as a challenger to traditional high street banks with a focus on usability and customer service.
